Donald W. Newton Sr.

Vice President

I have broad experience in human resources management, served 30 years in the United States Air Force—retired in 2001, and worked with Booz Allen Hamilton until 2013. Throughout my career, I have mentored young officers, students, and early career professionals. The youngest of 10 children, I graduated from Jasper County High School (Ridgeland, South Carolina) in 1966 and from Tennessee State University in 1970; received my commission from the United States Air Force in 1971, received a Master’s in Human Resource Management in 1980 from Pepperdine University, and graduated from Air War College in 1990. One of my favorite bible verses, Micah 6:8 (NLT), states: “…He has told you what he wants, and that is all it is: to be fair and just and merciful, and to walk humbly with your God.” Inspired by this bible verse, I have a heart for service. I am connected to Daufuskie Island through my wife’s family. Her grandmother lived on Daufuskie Island until she left as a teenager to attend Mather School, a boarding high school in Port Royal, South Carolina.
